Mount Katrin cable car
Visit the “fit & healthy Mount Katrin” and explore varied hiking trails located at 1,414 metres above sea level. After a break in the vitality-restaurant or at the Katrin Alpine chalet you can get back down to the valley in just 12 minutes with the Katrin cable car – right into the heart of Bad Ischl.
Dachstein cable car Obertraun
From Obertraun the Dachstein cable car (with its 3 stages at over 2,000 metres) opens the view into the most beautiful spots in the Salzkammergut. As well as demanding hiking and mountaineering tours you will find ideal conditions for sport climbers. An absolute highlight of this world famous mountain massif is the “Five Fingers” viewing platform.
Gosaukamm cable car
From May until October the Gosaukamm cable car will transport you up into the wonderful Salzkammergut mountainscape. Here you can visit the Zwieselalm region - one of the most beautiful hiking regions of the whole of the Salzkammergut.
Grünberg cable car
Would you like to see the townships of Gmunden and the Lake Traun from above? The Grünberg cable car will bring you to an altitude of 1,004 metres, and once you have reached the top, 20 kilometres of hiking paths and a network of walking trails provide plenty of hiking opportunities. A forest education trail and a fungi education trail are fun to explore for the whole family.
Feuerkogel cable car
Enjoy a gorgeous summer day at 1,625 metres and hike with your family or your partner through the Feuerkogel region. The Feuerkogel cable car Ebensee transports you into the dreamy Salzkammergut heights from June to October every year.
Loser cable cars Altaussee
During winter the Loser Mountain is an excellent skiing region and during summer a fabulous destination for excursions and mountain tours. This is quite something - the Loser cable cars bring you up to an airy 1,837 metres above sea level.
Zwölferhorn cable car
From the Zwölferhorn summit (1,476 metres) you can enjoy a view onto 7 lakes of the Salzkammergut as well as the Dachstein glacier. The mountain world above St. Gilgen at Lake Wolfgang also boasts a themed hiking trail and many interesting climbing trails.
Schafberg cable car St. Wolfgang
The world famous Schafberg Mountain in St. Wolfgang can either be conquered on foot or using the steam engine train, which was built in 1893. The steam engine reaches an elevation of 1,190 metres in only 45 minutes and is therefore one of the steepest train rides in the whole of Austria. Once you have reached the top the whole of the Salzkammergut lies at your feet - you are now at 1,783 metres above sea level.
