The hotel´s tradition The privately-run Hotel Goldener Ochs was built in 1791. Then it was divided into a butcher's shop and an inn. When Bad Ischl grew in fame as a health spa in the Salzkammergut region, and guests were attracted to the imperial city, the building was converted to house guests one hundred years later.
Over the course of its history the Hotel Goldener Ochs has acquired a certain fame for the hospitality and sociability found here. The hotel has always been proud of its traditions and history.
