Indulgent treats at a traditional hotel
Traditional Austrian cuisine at the Goldener Ochs
Freshly caught fish from the Salzkammergut's lakes, freshly shot game from the former imperial hunting grounds, regional products from Bad Ischl's farmers - this and a whole lot more is what distinguishes the cooking at the Goldener Ochs. We have been proud to hold the AMA restaurant seal of quality since 2013.
Even Franz Lehàr knew where the best, tastiest food could be found
You will find a kitchen where Austrian food is still prepared traditionally in the old way at Hotel Goldener Ochs. Be it half board or à la carte specialities, Klaus Schweiger and his kitchen team conjure up tasty treats for you.
The 4-star Hotel Goldener Ochs is one of the oldest restaurants and hotels in the imperial spa town of Bad Ischl and there is hardly any other hotel that boasts this kind of fantastic Austrian cuisine. The chef Bernhard Eppinger and Klaus Schweiger, the hotel owner personally, as well as the experienced kitchen team always strive to serve you the best quality products of regional origin and indulge you with delicious, tasty dishes.
Take a seat in the historical Lehárstube, in the light conservatory or in the cosy restaurant. In the warm months your table is reserved right next to the Traun river in our Traungartl or in the sunny outside dining area.
