Our parlours & outdoor dining areas

The restaurant comes with four very cozy rooms, a winter garden restaurant that is flooded with light and two outdoor dining areas. During summer, especially the Traungartl´ on the banks of the Traun River overlooking the Esplanade and the Old Town of Bad Ischl invites you to a culinary intermezzo. In spring and autumn, the outdoor dining area on the south side offers a cozy atmosphere.

Even Franz Lehár, composer of operetta, who lived only three houses down the river, appreciated the cuisine from the Ochs and was a loyal regular of the house. The Lehár room with its comfortable, cozy interior still reminds of the world-famous Ischl guest.

The Ochsen “Stammtisch” (a regular get-together) meets regularly in the authentic restaurant with historic view of Bad Ischl. The Hotel Goldener Ochs had always been a place where not only guests feel completely comfortable, but also the inhabitants of Bad Ischl. We carry this tradition with responsibility and pride.
